A Crack at What's inside...

How is it possible that a healthy, well-adjusted person like myself feel so much conflict between my parent’s love for each other? Heavily loaded emotional conversations with your most loved and cherished family members is dangerous, especially when the person spewing out such raw and uncensored words is against the other significant other. I know the saying goes we hurt the ones closest to us because we trust they will understand and forgive us for our misgivings but I don’t believe I fall into that category. Does this make me an unforgiving person or better yet am I one that falls into favoritism? That I must bite my tongue so hard so as not to say something that I cannot take back fair? That I am the one who is silenced with sideways glances and left to take a lashing for my lack of empathy. Well I have feelings and a lot of loaded emotions to hand out but I do not because that would make me just like you…

When I’m silent, it doesn’t mean I have nothing to say. It just means I care enough not to hurt your feelings.
